Scott Hallmark started HCMS after being the Information Technology Manager
for a large engineering company here in Alabama for 11 years. HCMS has 3 goals:

- Our goal is not to sell you a product, unless you NEED it.
- Our goal is to fix, upgrade, and improve the usefulness of your computer
so that you no longer will say, "I HATE THIS COMPUTER!"
Why should you call Hallmark Computer & Media Services when you have a computer problem?
First of all, HCMS will come to you. There is no need to unplug that computer and haul it down to some computer store, only to be charged $35 or more for a diagnosis, then being told that you will probably need to format and reload or that you need a new motherboard... which requires a new CPU... oh and by the way, requires new RAM and a new power supply... which will probably require a new case. DON'T BE FOOLED! If your problems are so bad that they require that, HCMS will tell you honestly. Remember, we do not stock components that WE HAVE TO SELL NOW. If HCMS can fix it without putting in all new components, WE WILL! By the time you pay for all the components, then labor, you could have bought a new computer, and if that is the case, we will tell you that.

What should you expect to pay for these services?
HCMS rates are simple. HCMS has 2 different rates for computer & media services - Residential and Business.
Why 2 rates? Most, if not all, residential computers are used for entertainment and school studies purposes. They are not used to produce an income. For residential customers, HCMS will come to your home, give you a diagnosis, and repair, upgrade, or optimize the computer for $55.00 per hour. Replacement parts cost more. If you bring the computer to HCMS, the cost is only $40.00 per hour.
For business customers the rate is more, because in business, time is money. A down computer is time lost which is money lost. Business customers take priority as well. For business customers, HCMS will come to your office, give you a diagnosis, and repair, upgrade or optimize the computer for a 2-hour minimum of $150.00. Each additional hour is only $55.00. HCMS can also work out a block of hours for businesses to help save you money on the 2-Hour minimum charges.
